The Metro 10 was the brainchild of a runner who ran races in Rochester and Buffalo on successive weekends. The race is conceived as a celebration of the coming together of two unique running communities that are within an hours drive, brought together in a rural community of gracious hosts waiting to welcome them.
The maiden race in 2015 was one of the most talked about first year running events in the region, and received rave reviews from participants and spectators. The 2016 and 2017 Metro 10 were the largest attended running events in Orleans County and both hit their cap, selling out weeks before the race. The 2018 event will build on that success and continue the tradition of competing for the Metro 10 Cup.
We have partnered with The Warrior House of WNY, an Orleans County based charity that supports wounded military veterans and their families. The bulk of our proceeds will go to support the organization, which serves injured veterans throughout the year.
